Through training in dressmaking, decoration, and creative crafts, Mrs. Ngige’s mission is clear: to empower young women to become self-reliant, confident, and capable of shaping their own futures.

The school recently held its combined matriculation and convocation ceremony, a truly colourful and memorable event that showcased the talent, creativity, and hard work of its students. The ceremony opened with vibrant cultural performances, featuring captivating traditional dances that celebrated the richness of local heritage. Guests were further treated to an impressive exhibition of handmade crafts, demonstrating the students’ remarkable creativity and technical skills.

During the event, 22 enthusiastic new students were officially matriculated into the school, marking the beginning of their two-year journey of learning and personal development. At the same time, about  16 graduating students proudly displayed the fruits of their training. From exquisitely tailored traditional attire to beautifully crafted wedding gowns and stunning costumes, the graduates proved that they are ready to step into society as skilled professionals.

His Promise Vocational School, fully approved by the government, stands as a beacon of hope—especially in today’s challenging economic climate. With unemployment soaring and opportunities for young women often limited, the school provides a practical pathway to stability and resilience. By equipping students with skills that are always in demand, the institution ensures that its graduates can create opportunities for themselves and even employ others. The two-year academic and training programs are carefully designed to instill competence, confidence, and creativity, preparing each student for a brighter and more empowered future.

The ceremony also featured entertaining presentations by the Year 1 students, who thrilled the audience with a lively hip-hop dance performance that energized the entire venue. The highlight of the day, however, was the fashion parade. Students took to the venue in breathtaking bridal gowns crafted by their own hands—an inspiring demonstration of how far they had come in their training. Excellence was recognized as outstanding students received prizes for their achievements.

A new queen was also crowned during the event. Udeh Nmesoma F. (Reg. No: HPSVS/20240237) emerged as the newest HPSVS Queen, an honour she will carry proudly for the next year.
